Abstract

Chinese traditional culture, a precious spiritual legacy of our nation, continues to radiate wisdom after millennia. In today's era, characterized by the proliferation of information and cultural diversity, ideological and political education (IPE) in colleges and universities (IPECU) holds paramount importance in shaping the young generation's worldview, life outlook, and values. The bond between this storied culture and university-level IPE is profound. The profound contents of traditional culture serve as invaluable theoretical resources for IPE, while its distinctive way of thinking profoundly influences the ideological and moral frameworks of college students. Incorporating this rich cultural heritage into university education not only enhances the depth and breadth of teaching content, improving educational quality, but also fosters the moral fiber of students and steers them towards embracing upright values. Through the offering of traditional culture courses, the holding of lectures, and the conduction of practical activities, we can facilitate a seamless integration of traditional culture with IPE, fostering mutual benefits for both. Consequently, treasuring and perpetuating this exemplary traditional culture, and leveraging its significance in university-level IPE, is imperative for nurturing exceptional Chinese citizens and advancing the glorious rejuvenation of our nation.
