Abstract
On the basis of elaborating the connotation of ideological and political in university English courses, this paper analyses the problems encountered in the penetration of ideological and political education in university English teaching in private colleges and universities, and combines the characteristics of the development of ideological and political education, so as to put forward targeted countermeasures to solve the problems.
