Abstract
The formation of masculinity is a new independent subject in the second half of the 20th century. Through the interpretation of the classics of the psychoanalytic school, the rise and decline of gender role theory, and the development of Kang's masculinity theory, masculinity theory has experienced a collective, integrated, and independent stage. Nowadays, masculinity research may receive widespread attention and become a worldwide research topic.
