Abstract
Think-aloud Protocols are an important research method in language teaching and research, applied in listening, speaking, reading, translation and writing. In the field of second language writing research, however, methodological perspective paper about TAPs is still rare. Therefore, this paper reviewed relevant paper of TAPs in L2 writing research, introduced the procedures of conducting TAPs and analyzed the cautions in applying, in hope of providing some thoughts for the future application of TAPs in L2 writing research.
