Abstract
Translator is the concrete operator of translation activities. Traditional translation theory regards translation activities as a single act of language conversion, and translators must serve and be faithful to the original author and the original text. Since the mid-20th century, with the deepening and enrichment of translation theory and the emergence of “cultural turn”, translation activities have been greatly expanded in content and form. Therefore, the translator participates in all aspects of translation activities in various forms, which makes the translator's subjectivity more prominent. This paper will discuss how the translator's subjectivity plays an active role in the success of French version of the four famous works comics.
