Abstract
Chuang-Tzu, a Chinese philosopher, developed deconstructionist philosophy. Jacques Derrida, a French philosopher, developed deconstructionism. Both Derrida and Chuang-Tzu exposed the flaws of dichotomy pairs. This essay mainly discusses major theories of Chuang-tzu and Derrida, comparisons between Chuang-Tzu and Derrida’s theory of language, and the difference in their respective deconstruction methods.
