Abstract
In order to meet the needs of the new curriculum reform, some innovative teaching models have emerged in the past years, and flipping the classroom is one of them. This kind of classroom model not only highlights the main position of the students, but also gives full play to the guiding role of the teachers in the classroom. Using the convenient classroom mode to carry out the teaching work in English linguistics teaching in colleges and universities can make the teaching content richer and changeable, and realize the high efficiency of classroom teaching. In order to make the flipped classroom play an important role in English language teaching in colleges and universities, teachers should make full use of the flipped classroom teaching mode. This paper analyzes and discusses the application of the flipped classroom teaching model in English language teaching in colleges and universities in order to bring some reference for the relevant scholars.
