Abstract
Colleges and universities need to attach importance to English teaching according to the situation of social development. In order to cultivate students with good language ability and cultural literacy, colleges and universities need to study modern teaching ideas, clarify teaching objectives, think about college English teaching from the perspective of cultural philosophy, understand the concept of differentiation and maturity. English teachers should pay attention to the selection of teaching content and teaching feedback, find out the shortcomings of teaching in time, improve the teaching level of college English from the perspective of culture and philosophy, and cultivate students to form a good comprehensive literacy.
