Abstract

Reliability is one of the most important qualities in language testing. For a language teacher, it is necessary to realize that there are so many factors affecting the reliability of the language test, from the test design to the test administration, from the test takers to the scorers, etc. The language teachers should not regard the testing as the only valid means to evaluate the students’ language abilities, but make rational use of the language tests to serve their teaching.
