Abstract
Based on the multimodal theory, the paper mainly discusses the application of multimodality in teaching content, teaching design, teaching activities and teaching assessment respectively in order to realize the multimodal teaching in the course Introduction to Western Culture. This teaching method is expected to improve the teaching efficiency and students’ learning abilities by integrating different modal elements.
